I removed the ladder off the back of the boat a little while ago cos we never us it and it just gets in the way. Maybe I should put it back on. What a terrible thing to happen.

Firstly, our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased. Hope they find the strenght to cope the tragedy. It will be tough.
Secondly, best wishes to the survivor fisho and hope he will have a full recovery. This will leave a large scar for years to come. May he also find the strength to overcome and deal with this tragedy.
Thirdly, hope everyone refrain from jumping to conclusion as to what happened. Let the police carry out the investigation and we will know more in due course.
Probably is a good reminder for all of us to take care on the water - just remember, all your loved ones are waiting for you at home.
Take care everyone!

Very sad indeed.
New reports are very brief does anyone know what really happened, why did his mate jump in the water instead of using the boat?
Life jackets ect.

The guy that died was a close relative of a member on another fishing forum. Tragic for the family.

Sadly most of that information does not get put out until the coroners report.frozenpod wrote:Very sad indeed.

Until then most of the information will be conjecture.
