where to fish out of the wind this weekend?

If it doesn't fit in a specific saltwater section, post it here

where to fish out of the wind this weekend?

Post by smile0784 » Mon May 25, 2015 1:39 am

Hi everyone.
After working through this wonderful weekend I'm keen to take the boat out next weekend.
I'm a salt water fisherman so either easten ppb or anywhere on wp.

Does anyone have any suggestion where I could go out of the wing since forecast 12 to 15knots?
And what roughly could I be targeting?

Cheers ricki

Well WPB has more protected areas then the bay, plus it has been producing some good fish of late, whiting, snapper, gummies, big squid etc

Hey Jim is something weird going on with threads showing up on the forum? I missed the other one and i've somehow missed this one until just then as well.

25 is a lot of north westerly. If i was fishing i'd be heading inland, the swell is up so a ledge is probably a bad idea.

Nothing weird as far as I know. I remember seeing this one...just came back to it and 'bumped' it up.
cheers

Not experienced on a boat but landbased you could fish off stockyard point, its a bit of a hike (1.5km), but you'll be out of the wind
You know what you'd rather be doinnnn

Won't the north wester be right in your face?
