how much would you spend for a day out on a charter boat?

Post by smile0784 » Sat Feb 14, 2015 5:28 pm

Hi all
After a day out at Montague island with 3charter boats coming and going twice.
Just wondering what people would pay for a day out?

The mates I took up there had a ball on last day even tho a rod got broken lol

The pic doesn't she the 4 big slimeys we caught and the 3 snapper the seal took or the marlin we dropped after the braid to leader knot broke.

Looks like you had a ripper day out. Dare I ask what type of knot was it

Any size to the kingies? Or are they all still around that 58-68cm range?

Don't forget the size limit in nsw is 65 not 60cm like in vic I have seen many vic fishers come to grief with that one. I was going to do an fg knot on my outfit we are going to use switchbaiting but I may now do a bimini twist double. Did it break or come undone

I had 80lb Fc to join onto 50lb braid. I think the braid cut through the fc leader after 5 mins on strike drag
