Wye River advice

Post by Milk man » Fri Sep 12, 2014 4:46 pm

G'day ladies and gents.. I'm heading to Wye River for about 4 days next week for work and obviously I wanna do some fishing.. Having never fished down that way before I need some help.. What can I catch off the beach? Are there any trout streams around that area? I'd prefer to use lures but am happy to throw some bait out as well if that's what gets the fish going

Not sure about the beach but wye river and all the others along the great ocean road have some nice trout. Just throw some 30-60mm hards in the streams and you should get onto a few nice trout.

Salmon and wrasse from the rock platform under the telecommunication tower. You can throw some metal slugs from there.

Artillery Rocks and Separation Creek is just nearby , also a lot easier to fish than Wye river imo
Salmon are still around for sure you'll catch some in 4 days stay.GoodLuck and be safe.
