Different ways to target pinkies

Post by Isaaccc » Sun Oct 29, 2023 6:51 pm

Is there other ways too get some land based pinkies besides bait? Want to try something different. I have tried soft plastics but I really can’t seem to get the casting distance to catch anything feasible. Was wondering if they would eat something like squidtrex?

I used to catch them at Docklands pretty regularly with metal blades, using a cheap telescopic rod with mono. You can give them a try. The weight makes them a lot easier to get some decent casting distance even with cheap gear. It also catches bigger snapper

Blades would be a good option, or maybe a smaller metal 5g, 10g?
