PPB Lure Session Mayhem!!
Lads,
The break in the weather we have all been waiting for arrived over the weekend.
A good mate and myself headed out for a Plastic session On The Reds.
you got to love it when you launch and are met with this sort of conditions
when the sounder starts to light up like this, its gets your heart racing!!!!
what followed through the day is once crazy session and one that will be up there in the books for me.
From the first cast onwards it was absolute Mayhem!!
the Reds were in a feeding frenzy, and anything that landed in front of them got hammered, zmans, gulps, squidgies you name it, it all got eaten!!
double hookups were the norm for the day..
and they werent just eating it, they were inhaling them, every fish that came onboard had a familiar pattern, the plastic was almost engulfed, some were taken on the drop, was awesome to see line peeling away before the bail arm was even closed, others just smashed and ran as soon as the plastic got to the bottom, sometimes even hammering it without even working the plastic...
we made a few moves to find some better fish
we landed in excess of 40 fish between the 2 of us, getting our bag and releasing a heap of fish, some even bigger than what we already had in the esky FML!!!!
eventually they slowed down and we called it a day..
Tide change produced a lot of the fish, but they kept biting through the morning and into the arvo..
in all the melee, i managed to slice my finger open on one of the gill rakers, and also got stabbed multiple times by the spikes from many fish, all in the name of photography
cheers and tight lines to all..

im no snapper fisherman either tbh, but these sized fish are just awesome on light gear, so im in it for the thrill of pushing the boundaries, nothing else..

Master red catcher.
I like the last photo, looks almost like the red is floating in the air by itself.
