Windy is better?

Hey Guys,

So I have found out from a few people that apparently when there is a westerly wind blowing (Fishing landbased from Hampton) it is meant to be great fishing for pinkies.

I rugged up tonight and braved the 20-30knt west north westerly and didn’t get one touch for 2 hours. It was super hard to cast and to even detect a bite. Does anyone else fish for pinkies when it’s windy ? If so then how on earth do you do it ? Would love to hear from you.

Thanks,
Walker

I have fished many times from Hampton in the past mate in all conditions.
Have found the best for pinkies a Sw. Doesn’t have to be blowing a gale. Even just a light Sw can be great.
Having said that have had a lot of success when Fishing a Nw as well
A strong straight westerly is t worth it in my opinion as the waves pretty much crash over the rocks can be quite dangerous.

They are still around when it’s windy but I have caught just as many on nights that haven’t been too rough. Much easier to fish those conditions :)
