I find that a lot of times there is sweet FA on the sounder yet I manage to burley fish in if they are in the area.

Some people like to see arches which is all good. I often have marks fairly close together so if I dip out it is not to far to go to reset.

You only have to be a boat length or two out from a Xmas tree to miss it and leave thinking there is nothing about.

There’s different things to look at on the sounder not just the stacked up fish.

Ol' mate & I always head to the same spots, so this year I've convinced him its worth having a look around WP when we're up for it. fished outta Rhyll for the first time early winter & hooked lots of gummies - will go back and see what its like now to compare. fished the east top end to get my sons 1st gummy in winter & the next channel our guys hooked into 73 & 80+ snapper. Ol' mates now convinced its worth the time to look around.
Saying that, we are heading out in the morning, will be interesting to see if he goes to the usual!
