Bait collection is important I recommend investing in a vacuum seal unit.
sorry to chop in what model/brand do you use
Not sure on the model think it's a Russel Hobbs.

There is a lot to be said for learning a particular part of the bay inside out. Then when a target species does turn up you have best chance of being onto them. Constantly changing areas to locations you dont know can have you being the one who comes back to the ramp empty while everyone else is cleaning their bags.

I'm guilty of being jack of all trades and master of non.

i'v always done ok on the squid and flatties out of Werribee that might be part of my problem when I'vtried for snapper and things aren't going to plan Iv often pulled the pins and gone drifting for Flatties and squid which usually gets me a feed of some sort Iv set myself this year to really have a crack at the reds.. hopefully anyway

Disagree ....
If you have never caught snapper better off going more well known spots,Altona , williamstown black rock ect
If you going to launch launch werribee I'd go well known reefs, long reef kirks point ,raaf n even across to portarlington channel,..,,
Imo

Werribee has great kgw grounds less then 1 k for m ramp...
