I can tell you where to get snapper around Port Phillip Bay. In it is much harder - there's too much water everywhere.

Seriously, though - Mt. Martha rocks can be good, if land based.

You have two options, around Port Phillip, you can try the fish mongers and the vic markets.

In port phillip bay it depends if you are landbased or boat, as snapper are a migratory species, they move around and in and out of the bay. So it you are in the right spot at the right time you have a chance.

Buy the book The Landbased guide for port phillip and corio bays, if you are landbased

I dont fish ppb much....prefer wp..

But its easy in a boat in ppb....just find a group of boats and stop right in the middle of them...that seems to be what happens out there...lol..

But if you put up more details..land or boat and where you launch from would help with better answers ...lol

Carrum wreck always is a good start for me when out there
