Sure do, or if its weedy run a ezi rig slider and a 30cm dropper line to the sinker to keep the bait up a bit

What size sinker do you use on the ezi rigs fitzy? 1 or 2 oz? Or bigger?

Really depends on the conditions mate, usually just enough to get to the bottom and stay there. I make my own sinkers so would have no idea on size.

Alot depends on where you are fishing and tidel or current flow.

Upper PPB all you need is one or two oz sinkers, get closure towards the heads, and if fishing the channels you will need to go up in weight.

Fishing off Mt Martha rocks landbased and the current will move a 4 oz sinker.

In WPB, you can go as high as 20 oz in high tidal flow areas.

My old man and I were having a debate over this last time we were out. Given that a whole pilchard generally sinks to the bottom, unweighted in PPB, then does that mean that once the bait has reach the sea floor, it is actually sitting on the bottom?

At the moment we run about a 1200mm leader and the running ball sinker (if required) above the bait, on the leader before the swivel.

What we couldn't decide was wether or not the sinker would sit on the bottom and the bait float up of the ground due to current etc.... or whether the whole rig just lays on the sea floor?

Yes it can end up sitting on the bottom, which is one of the reasons why a paternoster rig IMO is prefered for snapper and gummies.

Running sinker is perfect for flathead.

I've never heard of a tru-turn hook..I had to look that one up. That was the only picture I could find on the interweb that showed a single hook going up through the jaw and out the top of the head. I'm lazy and like circle hooks
