Review of a couple of japanese tackle stores

Post by ducky » Tue Aug 05, 2014 10:18 pm

G'day all. Recently treated myself to a few toys from japan. I used 2 websites, taking advantage of samurai tackles sale on megabass rods I ordered a couple of rods, including a 1pce rod. I had them delivered in 5 days, the packaging was rock solid and no chance of any damage.

Last friday I was looking at some gear on jpangler and saw they had some line on sale, I picked up 2 new daiwa luvias reels for the new rods aswell as a spool of line. They have arrived today, again with awesome packaging/padding. delivered from japan in 3 business days. Absolutely awesome service. Highly recommend both websites.

I can also vouch for both of these sites but I've never had anything arrive quite that fast, usually 6-10 days. But I've only ordered lures and line so maybe they take better care of you if you make big purchases

Sounds good! Did they have any lures on sale? I may have a look! Of course then I will need a new rod, reel and line to cast it with...will grab them too! :-D
My online shopping has been limited to having a mate do a few orders in for me from the US...when our dollar was better. How are the prices from Japan? I assume they vary with the value of the oz $? Never been up with this money stuff!
cheers
Jim
Edit. Thanks for the info as well.

Nice reels mate.

I had a good experience with jpangler. I ordered a 2506 Luvias, it arrived quite grindy and with a noticeable nock in it. Sent it back and had a warranty replacement from daiwa Japan in 2 weeks. Can't complain with that!

I've ordered quality squid jigs from these guys previously, although they also have plenty of other stuff.

Web site is a little old fashioned but jigs were a good price and arrived promptly.
