Cranka crabs - target species.

Post by allrounder_13 » Sun Apr 27, 2014 6:50 pm

Hey guys, i just bought my first cranka crab and gave it ago at the mount martha cove, to bad the fishing wasnt that great but still had some bites from what i expects to be whiting and letherjacket.
Also i spotted a group of 3 VERY large fish somewhere inbetween 5-10kg what coukd they be?
But back to the question, what do you target and cat h with your cranka crabs?
Thanks for sharing in advance!

generally I'd be going after bream if I dig out the cranka crabs. I have not had a chance to use mine yet, but that's what I bought them for. I'm sure other fish might have a go at them as well..

They go really well on Bream and might go well on gummy sharks

They'll catch any estuary species especially bream and flathead. They're also real good on snapper.

But anything that eats crabs will take them!

The bream were already residents if the safety beach sandbar, a school of 50 or so, i snorkeled with them before the breackwall was built.
