Hi all,
Picked up a few Celta spinners as I figure I'll give Benders redfin challenge a go
Any tips for how to rig them? Currently using 8 lb braid with a 10lb leader.
And a cheap 6'6" fibreglass rod (no brand name) that's fairly springy.
Cheers, Eug

To prevent line twist you may want to fit a small plastic anti-twist keel between the braid and the mono. If you are not familiar with these things there is a swivel at one end of the keel, this is tied off to the leader. Others use a small swivel in place of the keel. Only problem with using the keel is depending on what size (weight) Celta you have, it can make casting difficult. I don't employ either methods. I just let the line twist and deal with it!
Good luck!

Re: Best rig technique for Celta spinners?
When i used to do alot of spinning for Reddies the Celta green & Black with gold blade was my go-to spinner.
It's been my favorite for over 30yrs now.
However getting back to what i was saying, back then braid was not even thought of so i used to use straight mono,no leader.
A small snap swivel & the celta clipped on,cheer's Murph....

Hi Eug, first thing you need to do is scale down your line, I use 4lb Fireline to a swivel then about 40cm of 4lb leader to the Celta, it will cast much better and alow the Celta to spin it's little head off proerley
