Making your own soft plastics - who does it?

I was thinking of buying the kit from these guys and just make my own to save money in the long run:

Does anyone here have any experience or advice on home made soft plastics?

I use a few SP's and thought about making my own but unless you want the experience of making them yourself they are fairly cheap to pick up on Ebay. cheers davo

Yeah, you maybe correct about that. I use zman's because they don't get chewed up but I will try out some cheapies on ebay.
