Yeah I was waiting for BM to add his thoughts to the discussion. Halco rmg scorpions might go ok. Some funky colours in the range too

I came across an article from the Indepth Angler guys last month who interviewed the Victorian Freshwater Fisheries Manager regarding Hazelwood Fishing.

There is a discussion about a "Ballot system" for fishing the pondage. He mentions something similar to a Hog deer ballot system. I'm not a hunter so i dont know what this means. If this gets up I wonder what are the chances of actually getting to fish for these barra. btw according to fisheries fb another 3000 30cm barra are due to be released into the pondage in the next few weeks. Can't wait to eventually have a go as well.

I'd say have a look at some of the big swim baits the Yanks use on bass, find one in a blue gill or tilapia pattern and you could be on to a winner!
Apart from that i reckon anything big enough to cause a reaction strike would be the best bet, those fish aren't gonna be hungry as there's no shortage of food in there, so a territorial response will probably be the way to go

in a word it sucks i know some hunters that have been in the ballot for 6 + years and still haven't won a chance

we are lucky as we can get on to private property , they should just let it go the novelty will soon wear off .
