Mix up your retrieves. Sometimes they want deadstick, others small single hops, quick double hops, long slow lifts, quick sharp lifts ... If it's not working switch it up but I always start with a double hop - lifting it only 6-12 inches. As it drops you want to have controlled slack - a slight belly in your line - the idea is to maintain contact with your lure so if the line does anything unexpected you see it and can strike.
If you're jigging vertically just lift and drop.
Generally nothing too aggressive for bream. I got my first bream on blades by copying hodgeys technique in this video - far worse places to start

Also - if you haven't already, buy a lure retriever. Will pay for itself the first time you get that zx30 back from a snag monster :D
