Tiemco Cicada Jumbo...

Post by April Fool » Sun Dec 30, 2018 5:55 pm

...how sturdy are they? They have arrived in a local tackle store but looking at them, I wonder how the plastic wings stand up to pressure. If I purchase one, it will be used in a system where the cod are smaller. I just want something different to everything else that is being thrown at the local cod. I can upgrade the trebles if needed but that is pointless if the rest of the lure won't stand up. I guess the cicadas are used more for bass?
cheers
Jim

I've been looking at them myself Jim. I'm sure they are sturdy enough mate they are made for Cod and Barras. If you look at most fish caught on surface lures very rarely do the fish have the whole lure in there mouth so I'm sure the wings would be fine and they are normally made from polycarbonate which is tough as nails. Go for it mate
Water is the most essential element of life, because without water you can’t go fishing. :water:
