Gel Spun?

Hi guys,

was reading a fishing mag last night and they had a section on knot tying. they were showing how to ty mono to Gel Spun. I'm going to take a punt and say gel pun is braid? correct me if i'm wrong please.

Berkley Fireline is a Gel spun line.
