Have a couple of Alveys that have Platypus low stretch Mono on them and have had no problems with it and also have it on ABU 5000 (its now only the backing as I have topshot it with braid) but formerly it had the Platypus low stretch all the way through, and again i had no problem with it. I also liked the Platypus as it was a local (Aust.) product which there aren't to many of these days when it comes to fishing line.

platypus mono is definitely one of the better mono's around

Agree, platypus platinum is good, aussie made and good knot strength. Mostly fish braid these days though.
