Aldi braid on sale

For anyone who is interested Aldi have their braid on sale this Saturday [October 29th]
At $10 a spool l thought l would give it a go.

l don't know how many strands as l have never used it before,these are the only specs given
High strength, silicone coated for waterproof protection
Durable with long casting ability
Smooth finish
8lb, 12lb and 17lb – 250m spools or 20lb, 30lb and 40lb – 200m spools

Never used it myself but a lot of people seem to really rate the stuff

I hope its better than the mono. Crane is the brand and it snaps like cotton. I lost some quality whiting last year on the mono and said i wouldnt use it again.

My old man has the 50lb Crane Aldi braid on his heavy spin gear. Caught plenty of tuna and bottom species on it and it's been going strong for a few seasons now.
I don't know if the braid they are selling now is the same as a few years back but it's far from 'smooth'
It works fine, i just wouldn't use it for real light lure fishing or anything like that.
