Side note. That bottom slug looks like it would fly tackleberry

you are right thats the 40g and the 60g outcast will go 117 meters off a 9' rod measured with one of my LRF

and they never do what i call the bull raw (when they turn sideways and cause a back lash in an overhead)

they are bum heavy and fly like an arrow the only down side they are bloody exy at $7 and $9 up here even

at Kmart .

Only downside to them I've found is that the paint chips off really quickly

i haven't found a painted lead slug yet that don't but then again i don't cast these at soft mouthed salmon either

I just add another (2nd) split ring to the lure for correct hook point direction, so I can use available usual/bait hooks.

the hook point direction isn't the only difference they also have a larger eye to allow the hook more freedom of movement and tend to have a shorter shank

by the same token, i have heard of overseas anglers using circles on their lures. i don't think they are inline eyes so they'd have to do the two split rings dealio
