Just wondering if people put alot of pressure on when spooling braid or do you put slightly less resistance when spooling, I'm generally talking about small reels and 4 to 10lb braid, does it make a difference on casting distance? Just interested in peoples opinion
thanks Frank

Re: Spooling braid
i pack it as tightly as possible. Use a wet cloth to provide tension and reduce heat buildup in the line. dunno bout casting distance as i've always done it this way

Re: Spooling braid
You are meant to spool braid under pressure so it packs tightly on the spool

yep nice and tight and always put some mono on first to stop it from slipping under load
