This is were I get confused which one should I be looking into.

Fuji components are very good quality arguably the best, I would pay the extra for them if available, as for which rod it depends on your budget and the feel of the rod, graphite dearest / composite second dearest / fiberglass cheapest... you need to feel them, I've felt the cheapest fiberglass rods that had better actions than the dearest graphite rods. Very personal thing and no two anglers may agree on the same rod.

Custom components are a waste of money on your first rod surf rod. Have a go and see if you like it first.

Not as far as I know .. the 3 tubes are all different diameters..

Are the Mojiko brand of rods any good?

I have heard of them and are they rebranded rods?

With your Nitro Frankenstein rod is that a two piece or three piece?

What is the advantage of having a three piece rod guys.

The Nitro is three piece, about the only advantages is if you have limited space to put the rod in the car, but at 15 wind resistance becomes a factor, if it is blowing a gale, they can be hard to handle.

Have no idea if Mojiko is rebranded or not, but that rod casts very well. Even Brett was impressed and it takes alot to impress him.

I went and had a look at a Shimano ULTEGRA CI4+ 14000 XTB which a nice looking reel to suit a surf rod and I assume I canb still use the same setup for rock fishing. The price was around $350.00 a little over my budget.

I need help deciding which rod will suit this reel or should I look at some other brand of reel.

It's a good product but completely unnecessary. Look at a Penn Spinfisher V 950 or fin nor lethal 100 for reels (less than) half the price. If you want to spend that much money buy a Saragosa 10k and take advantage of the sealing.

Is the Penn Spinfisher v 950 a good reel to use surf fishing as well as rock fishing?

I was pointed to the Shimano Ultegra ci4+ 14000 as this should be good for surf fishing as it has a long cast spool and good for rock fishing however it seemed a bit heavy in weight.

I don't mind spending a little more if I had to however I would prefer to save a buy a second light rig for whiting and flatheads and bream.
