Berkley Attack Rods any good?

Post by MISTAKOOL » Tue Jun 28, 2011 11:37 pm

The Berkley Attack fishing rod range can be bought extremely cheap this week at a specific retail chain.

So my question is are they good rods?

Here is some info from the Berkley website:

Features

High performance IM6 graphite blank
Fuji new concept O ring guides
Graphite reel seat
Sensitive cork grips

I have one, they are a great rod for flicking plastics in the shallows for flathead

What size Beno?

Model Type Pce Length Action Line rating
ATT602SPL Spin 2 6'0" Light 2-4kg
ATT662SPM Spin 2 6'6" Medium 3-5kg
ATT682SPH Spin 2 6'8" Medium/Heavy 5-8kg
ATT701SPL Spin 1 7'0" Light 2-4kg
ATT702SPL Spin 2 7'0" Light 2-4kg
ATT701SPM Spin 1 7'0" Medium 4-6kg
ATT701SWH Spin 1 7'0" Heavy 6-10kg
ATT732SPMH Spin 2 7'3" Medium/Heavy 6-8kg
ATT1062LS Beach Spin 2 10'6" Medium 3-5kg
ATT561BCH Trigger 1 5'6" Medium/Heavy 6-8kg

I was thinking the 10'6 3-5kg for landbased whiting
and the 7' 6-10 kg for snapper/gummys?

I would go a 7" 2-4 setup for whiting, if it's just mainly for that purpose
