Still the best value for money I'd say

Re: Sienna FG, looking good.
the last one was apparently pretty **** and plasticy, I wonder if they've taken a step back from that

Re: Sienna FG, looking good.
I have the earlier FD and the later FE models, the later FE feels very cheap as opposed the the earlier FD, I think the FD will outlast the FE over time in the salt.
I notice with this new FG they have gone back to 3+1 bearings as the earlier FD series .. The FE is 1+1 bearings.

These may be ok ? ... 2+1 bearings.... The FX looks the same as the FG but with less bearings ? budget model ? ( the catana FD may be worth looking at...)

Re: Sienna FG, looking good.
They also now have a 2k size .
I like the look of the new model but I reckon price is slowly going up.. still good value if the reel is as good as its predecessor..

Might get one with my $100 BCF voucher. Is the Catana FD model a step up or down from the Sienna?

Then they cheaped out on the FE and put 1+1 bearings in it.
The new FG has gone back to 3+1 bearings maybe because of the complaints about smoothness ?
The catana FD has 2+1 bearings so it's a half way type approach.
I would feel them both in the hand and make a decision after fondling them.

I'm not a fan of hollow handles it seems to me a sign of cheapness.. just my opinion.
