I Just bought a penn 560 liveliner for 79 dollers. I need a rod for it, any ideas???? i can spend about 100-150max. Ill be using this rod only for piers, odd rocks and lakes for carp fishing. In the salt il be aiming for snapper and flatheads:). Any ideas????
also is a 20lb braid line, with a 30lb fluro leader good?
Forgot to mention, i need a 2 piece rod:).

Oh, yeah 20lb braid with 30lb leader should do well in most general situations.

Shimano Starlo Classix 902 Shorespin 5-10kg Retail for $119, I can get you one for $99
This rod will cover all bases. You can also cast lures for salmon, and detect whiting bites...great all-rounder IMO.
