Daiwa adopting the tapered spool lip.

Post by Brownie » Tue Mar 05, 2019 1:47 pm

Hi guys. Just got a pamphlet from BCF with two Daiwa reels that are sporting a spool lip similar to Shimano's. Saw too a while ago that Abu are doing the same. I've always been a fan of that type of design on the Shimano's. Looks like others are following suit now.

Really? They were the only ones I've seen. Must have been the mods before the change I've seen on the shelves mostly. Guess too the stuff I see in email adds are them trying to get rid of old stock, makes sense. Hey, I live in the bush and only get to towns a few times a year. I must be behind the times. :-D
