12ft landbased 12-15kg surf combo?

Hey everyone, I’m looking at buying a new 12ft 12-15kg surf rod combo for gummies ect.. for landbased fishing. Just wonder what everyone recommends that’s on the market around the $200-300 mark or there abouts. Some combo that’s good to cast and light weight would be ideal. Cheers and tight lines! :water:

Penn prevail rod ,Penn fierce live liner or Pflueger salt is my fav set up.
Penn allegiance r on sale for 85$ with Penn fierce live liner , been considering his combo around 170 all up dependent on reel size.

300 for the combo? Prevail and a Spinfisher V is probably the most logical choice.

If you don't like the full graphite rods check out the Shimano Aeroweave composites.

If you want to spend a bit more a Nitro Surf Messiah or Daiwa Sensor Surf and something like a Saragossa 10k would be ideal.

I have 2 prevail rods. Have taken them around with me everywhere. Great rods :thumbsup:

yep penn prevail and a decent reel will fit your budget fine go down to southern sports fishing and have a chat to wayne he will sort you out
