Could be wrong here, but I thought the Stratic FB was for fresh water and the FK was for salt?

Re: Freams Z2500 Black or Stradic CI4+ FB2500HG?
Why would it be? It's a graphite body that doesn't corrode with the same alloy material used in the gearing as most other Shimano reels, with the same alloy material used for the spool as pretty much every Shimano reel in production, with the same bail arm as used on all mid to high end Shimanos with the exact same sealed bearings that are used on all Shimano reels....Mattblack wrote:Could be wrong here, but I thought the Stratic FB was for fresh water and the FK was for salt?

I cant remember where I heard/read this...I couple of years ago I wanted to know what the difference between the 2 reels was (as they seemed similar in price and specs) & the 'salt water' thing was the point of difference....might have been a sales pitch to get rid of excess stock or bad advice from a 'forum expert', I honestly cant remember. I'd still like to know which is better if anyone could tell me (and why one weighs more than the other?)cobby wrote:Why would it be?
