Kmart used to have good stuff like Berkley and Penn. But now its a reject shop. The only good things now are Berkley soft plastics and jig heads. The rest like rods n reels are rubbish.

I reckon your best bet is keeping an eye out for sales online, bcf and anaconda etc...

For boat, it's like a lucky charm. I think it's 20lb mono, same paternoster that I put on when I bought it 6years ago, I think it's like a 3 hook and big snapper sinker to drop it straight down. I just pull it up now and then and it's usually got something on it. If I ever get onto anything big? Reckon I've lost my $4 or whatever it cost :-D

I buy tackle from Kmart. Mine seems to stock Jarvis Walker exclusively now which seems perfectly adequate for the weekend warrior.

Just keep a eye out for sales at bcf, anaconda, rays.
Can pick up a good deal then

I'm not having a dig.
Ray's don't have fishing stuff anymore
They are owned by the same company as BCF & they don't want them competing
Ray's at Hoppers Crossing competing with BCF at Laverton
