Kmart Rods and Reels

Post by wem21 » Sun Feb 04, 2018 6:02 pm

Hi all,
Kmart rod and reel combos are on sale, so I was thinking of buying a set. Are they any good or are they the same as the wooden twigs and reels that have been dunked in the surf multiple times?
Cheers

Designed to be used once and then thrown out. I'm going to have an old man's rant. When I was a boy, Kmart had all name brands like Shimano and Daiwa. They even sold guns! Now it's garbage. They don't have many suppliers any more as they have their own factories in China punching out all the crap. Bigger profit margins.

It's a shame; I used to love their 30% off sales. Local store had a fabulous cabinet full of mid range gear; Shimano BTRs, TLDs and Symetres in particular...

Now it's just good for cheap sinkers.
