do you just spray on the reel and leave it?

I wash the reel with freshwater, let it dry . Then, take the spool off. Spray under the drag cap, take the handle off, spray in the handle brackets, spray on the spool, spray everywhere!
then i screw everything back on and let it be.
It is high pressured out of the can , blows all the sand away and makes sure that it remains rust free and lubricated.

Works like magic.

ok,
i would be carefull blowing into the handle brackets. you can actually push grit into the main bearings. its happened to me before. but if its working for you then i guess all good.

actually yes, now that you mention it , might need to be more careful

Open the reel up and spray it in and close the reel.

Washing the reel first should get rid of the any sand and grit

I had an aero4000 that was neglected and all gunked up.

I soaked it through and through in this stuff.

It really cleared it up. Made me a believer. Now I even spray it on my rod handles
