Trolling triton 30 conversion

Post by smile0784 » Fri Oct 06, 2017 6:20 pm

I have been doing reading and my trolling triton 30 matches tld and penn reels of the same size only thing i can say is my triton is only single speed vs 2 speed for other reels.
Does anyone know the gear ratio for the reel?
Does how much it cost for a conversion as is it worth it?

it will be similar to a high. maybe just a touch lower like something in between.

just do one full crank of your handle and measure the length of line collected. Should give you some sort of idea what ratio it is

Ok cool thanks.
I have some new 50lb braid braid so thinking of putting on it and making it a solid 15 kg game set up for tuna and sharks.
Or can it be set up as 24kg outfit?
