Terez 10-30lb would be my pic, I have a 10-20 but has split grips and doesn't sit in snapper racks that well.

Good reels the Stradic shame your limited to 1 rod manufacturer as there's some superior customs and smaller manufacturers out there.

Agree, I use Shimano, Daiwa, Abu, Penn, DAM, Mitchell, Okuma, Wilson, Silstar, Synder Glas, Alvey. I don't let brands limit me, nor am I loyal to one brand only, I prefer to use all brands rods & reels from Spinning, Overhead, bait caster to side cast, although I do have a soft spot for Abu Ambassadeurs & Alvey side casts.

Maybe the top end Shimano rods are OK, but the mid price graphite ( and I mean $100 min) rods are rubbish quality. I have had 7 rods break under medium pressure and no high sticking in 4 years. Will not go there again.
No argument with their reels. All price points seem to be exactly what you would expect for the capital outlay.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the post and good luck with whatever you go with.

shimano silstar power tip 6-10kg

I recently bought a shimano grappler & while its a jig rod, in the lighter models it'll make a great live bait option.

....and like the others have said, there are lots of great options beyond shimano.

I have 3 x 15 to 30lb rods. Buy havent used them to full capacity yet.

I use it for snapper gummys down here and bottom bashing at bermagui.
