Thoughts on Shimano Raider "Yak (Kayak)" rods?

Post by Hammy Y » Fri Jul 21, 2017 12:16 am

Found a great deal on a Shimano Raider Kayak (Yak) rod and was going to use it for general boat fishing in the bay and down at gippy lakes off piers and banks, anyone had experience with these rods? Its a 6"5 3-6kg

Cheers,
Ham

I got the shimano raider flathead rod 6 foot 3 to 5kg. Use it for squid, pinkies and whiting.

Good alround rod.

Is it same as your talking about
Or does yours say kayak on it? Compared to flathead

Ok cant help you with the short but but rest of the rod is good.

The rod i got only just sits in the 3 way rod holder with reel hanging down and if its bit rough i turn the reel up and slide it back bit further.
