Reel suggestion for new Pflueger Trion 1-3kg rod?
Hey gents,
Recently picked up a pflueger trion 1-3kg light rod for bream, trout and light fishing.
I need a reel to suit, preferably size 1000 and maybe 2000. Budget is around $150, don't want to spend much more than $200.
Any suggestions or does anyone have any experience?
Cheers,

shimano Sienna 1000 / 2500 or Sedona 1000 / 2500, top little reels .. use the money saved on other tackle.

I have 5 trions 1-3kg and 2-4kg with 1000 and 2500 size stradic's and IMO they are better balance with a 2500 size reel.
these have been kicking for 7 years and have caught a truck load of bream and flathead out of the gippy lakes .
so on that it would be a NASCI or a AIRD X .

I have a Trion 1-3kg with a 1000 Sedona.
Biggest fish I pulled was a 54cm 4LB trout
My favourite combo

I would be looking at the shimano nasci or a daiwa BG. 2500 for the nasci but I think a 2000 BG would be more suited than a 2500

Nasci don't last the distance in my experience. Better off with a sienna and pocketing the change to use on other things. Sienna direct to Stradic in my opinion from the Shimano stables.

It's only 5 grams heavier than the nasci and lighter than a 2500 sedonnaTackleberry wrote:very heavy if using for lure fishingmazman wrote:I would be looking at the shimano nasci or a daiwa BG. 2500 for the nasci but I think a 2000 BG would be more suited than a 2500

If you can get your hands on one of these in the 1500 size, you'll be pretty impressed.
