bait cast reel suggestions
With cod season just round the corner I'm upgrading my bc! Today I put a deposit on a daiwa commander tough ombré rod cause sometimes u gotta treat yourself!
I haven't decided on a reel to match it with yet so was hoping to find some suggestions n feedback.. I've had the daiwa tatula in mind but as always open to suggestions!
Cheers in advance

I bought a new model curado 200pg (second hand $120) and the 10-20lb 6'6 dam super basser $49 from motackle. The rod is absolutely sick. The best value rod I've ever bought.

Re: bait cast reel suggestions
After some more research I'm still leaning towards the tatula. heavier drag bigger spoil and designed for flogging out larger lures..
Now I gotta smash out the work n get it ready before dec 1... (fingers crossed)

Re: bait cast reel suggestions
Spool. Probably an auto correct thing.
Gav, I've got the curado Hg and I really like it. I think you've had a few casts with it that time we caught up for a fish. I should have gotten the low ratio though. The tatula is also one I heard good things about but haven't used. I don't reckon you could go wrong with either choice.

Re: bait cast reel suggestions
Sorry dropped my phone off the roof screen is buggered so lots of typos now.. I meant spool*
Basti man, as soon as I used ur rod I knew I needed a longer rod n smoother reel.. it's becoming a toss up between the tatula hd n the hlc.. with the wide pools n rivers I fish distance is vital..
I wouldn't need a lot of 30lb braid anyway but guess it's better to have it n not need it ae..
Basti, keen for another session at that hole this season? I reckon first light instead of all nighters tho haha damn it got cold!
