Re: bait cast reel suggestions
G'day
I've got to replace my old Shimano baitcaster which I bashed pretty well to death catching barra up north - so this topic interests me a lot. I'll be using it to chase cod.
What are the pros/cons between the Shimano curado and the Daiwa tatula?
I've heard the latest model of the curado is not as good as its predecessors. Is that the case?
Also what weight line are they best for - can I ocasionally use it to chase bass?
Any other good reel options.
I'll be getting a left hand wind.
Any thoughts?
Best Wishes

A week to late, I had the curado 200G7 at Bonnie Doon, you could have had a play with it.

Re: bait cast reel suggestions
I know the curados are great value for money but always liked daiwa especially there reels! Only reason I'm getting a tatula is cause I can't spend the extra $ on a zillion.
I'm probably gonna get the tatula hlc as I'll do more casting than trolling.
I'm spooling it with 30lb braid, some prefer 50lb but your gonna prefer a deeper spool for this eg: daiwa tatula 200hd
There's cheaper options on the market but as the saying goes "you get what u pay for"
Never targeted bass so couldn't recommend an outfit but I'm sure there's members here that can
