hmmm the tip looks a bit thick for a sub 4kg rod

As above. Tip looks too big to be a 2-4kg rod. My guess is 3-6kg
Give it a few Harry Potter wand twirls and then load it up. You can generally tell what a rods rating is pretty fast.
