Hi
I just opened up my new abu 7000 box and it comes with the bracket clamp that on the other side of the reel seat.
Not sure if i want to use it or not.
Who uses them on small reels and game reels?
What are the advantages?
Cheers ricki

unless you are using 24kg and up a wast of time even at 15 kg you are only using around 5kg of drag .

Yeh I agree with Tackleberry.
They do keep the reel a bit more sturdy on the rod. There isn't any harm in putting it on though if you just keep that reel on the one rod but they are a pain if you're always taking your combo apart.

i tend to cup small over heads (tld 20 and smaller) in the palm of my hand and with a clamp it's just not on .
