x2 they're virtually unstoppable, I'm not even sure multiple dunkings would do it

X2 for the aird reel I have a 1000 and ousted it on my ulfs rod for trout until recently getting the ci4. Now it's a whiting/ Carp reel it's never been submerged tho so can't back up its grunt in that sense.

TBH for $100 u can't expect an amazing reel. 120-200 will see u a nice strong reel!

Penn assault reels at k mart are 60 from memory. I got one years ago it's been dunked a few times never been washed it looks a bit rough but still puts hurt on big Ray's every now n then in wp
If I'm not fishing, I'd rather be fishing!

i got 2 x 2500 Sedona's, the old model and they are a great reel. Havent had any issues with them.

Plenty of ideas, thanks everyone not planning to use it in the Kayak as I only use Alvey reels in the Yak now.
