x2 they're virtually unstoppable, I'm not even sure multiple dunkings would do itducky wrote:If you kill Sienna's I doubt you'll have much luck with anything else. The only way I reckon you could kill one is multiple dunkings.

X2 for the aird reel I have a 1000 and ousted it on my ulfs rod for trout until recently getting the ci4. Now it's a whiting/ Carp reel it's never been submerged tho so can't back up its grunt in that sense.
TBH for $100 u can't expect an amazing reel. 120-200 will see u a nice strong reel!
Penn assault reels at k mart are 60 from memory. I got one years ago it's been dunked a few times never been washed it looks a bit rough but still puts hurt on big Ray's every now n then in wp

If I'm not fishing, I'd rather be fishing!

That sounds good. I bet they're going to be a lot more expensive than the current range though.hornet wrote:The new range are very water resistant and have metal bodies, the new slammers are water proof not just water resistant, I doubt you could kill one..4liters wrote:Penn Slammers are my go-to for kayak fishing. You get them from Dinga for about $70-80 with free postage.

Plenty of ideas, thanks everyone not planning to use it in the Kayak as I only use Alvey reels in the Yak now.
