Re: Shimano t-curve
They aren't bad... But there are heaps of other rods around. $185 isn't a bad price. If you can find yourself a Nitro Godzilla spin rod, i reckon something like that would be the way to go. Nice and light in the hand. Has heaps of power in the butt and a nice softish tip for feeling bites.

Re: Shimano t-curve
Tcurves can take a beating. Not the best. Not the lightest. But one of the hardiest rod ranges getting around and the price point isn't too bad.

Re: Shimano t-curve
I have 4 T-Curves bowlster...but for different applications! Mine may be 8 years old or more now. If you decide to go ahead with them...the only thing I would look at is the guides. For whatever reason Shimano went cheapo on a lot of their rods several years ago and fitted non - Fuji guides. The T-curves may been fitted with Fujis all along...I don't know. If the models you are looking at aren't fitted with Fujis, then it may be of concern. I'm not sure but me thinks the cheaper guides they went to are inferior to Fuji...but they may still be Ok!
