Bait runner or non bait runner? For gummies and snapper

I use bait runners but find i dont seem to use that function very often..

if you got the bait runner you can always choose not to use the "run" function, a normal reel on the other hand is just that.
if your fishing circle hooks then a normal reel with just enough drag to set the hooks is more than enough id say.

got no idea about WPB though.
cheers

Better to have both options, Most of mine are Penn slammer live liners.

Some situations need it some don't, it's happened to me on many occasions.

You don't have to use it if the situation doesn't call for it, but if it does and you don't have this function .... well.. you know.

I use overheads in both bays (mono ppb, braid WP/southern ppb) so no baitrunner function at all. I do use 2500 bait runners on Whiting with it engaged more often than not
