New Shimano 16 Stradic Ci4+ on sale in Japan

Anyone purchased one of the new Stradic 16's ? Any feedback/thoughts?

I havent seen that before. I like the shallow spool, but must say I am partial to the round EVA knob. Im sure they are a good reel with a decent drag tho if the previous reels are anything to go by

I plan on getting on of these in c2000s or a 2004 luvias in spring. I'm currently leaning towards the stradic but will let the initial reviews help my decision.

Won't see them locally until after AFTA early July most likely. I doubt anyone in the country will have one yet

Any information on sizing or stats>? Hoping for a 5k with a round knob at a reasonable price, if not i'll just buy a sustain. Don't like the oversized knob on the 5kfk

have you used an fk or reel with a similar knob? I was pretty hesitant at first but I actually really like the handle on my 5k fk

11kg drag pressure, and holds 150m of PE-2? With that kind of drag pressure you should be able to run PE-5 at least, however it'd be spooled on a cast due to bugger all capacity. Am I missing something there Dougie, as it doesn't seem to make much sense to me??

I rate the Daiwa above the Simano, I've got two of them (2004/2506) and they've been good. The spools are shallow however and drag isn't as much as the Simano but still good fun on sambos ect
