According to Shimano Website the 3000cfb (compact) and the 4000 have the same drag pressure which means they are essentially the same reel with a compact spool on the 3000
Edit: I stand corrected it is a 2500 with the drag of a 4000. Either way it has 8.5kg of drag and weighs 245g and if the rod is 4-7kg I know I'd definitely go the 3000cfb

It could be over by now but as mentioned earlier they are going to be super seeded soon. So I'm sure there will be more stores that will discount them

Gotta penn assault 3500 from Kmart a few years ago still going strong! Pretty retired now but still works a treat

At the moment you cannot possibly make a better purchase than a ci4 stradic for $199. Southern Sportfishing have a bunch of them, plenty of 3000 sized left as of 1 week ago when I got one

The stradic ci4+ reels have a great drag on them. I have had mine hooked up to a 4kg red, and all I want these days is to hear that sound again!DougieK wrote:At the moment you cannot possibly make a better purchase than a ci4 stradic for $199.
