^ There is no reason your laguna won't handle 99% of anything you'll hook spinning a Victorian surf beach.

You could just wind faster unless you're worried about it messing up your hair.
Is that why you shave your head?
It's not male pattern baldness it's a solar panel for a sex machine.
Sounds potentialy underwhelming any time after sunset

Not a huge fan of the Okuma's.

You can get a Fin Nor Lethal 40 for $99 which will be utterly bullet proof although probably a touch heavier than the okuma. The sedona is a good choice. The sienna is cheaper again.

I use two lethals for all my heavy bait work (i use the 100) and was spinning with them until i bought a Penn Clash.

Don't stress too much about retrieve speeds if you're fishing for salmon and you'll never use 300m of 20lb braid. There is no chance spinning a Victorian beach of hooking a salmon that's going to peel 200m of line off a 4000 sized reel.
What is a shark grabs the salmon

I was fishing out the front of balcombe creek on the beach with carl, got bored and was casting a 6 inch curltail on a 1 ounce jighead on my old catana. Foul hooked a big black ray. Nearly got spooled. There is a video somewhere of me holding on for dear life while screaming fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu and carl giggling his head off.

I used an Okuma Avenger 55 off the break wall at Bermagui for the last week. The handle arm nearly broke off, bent the handle a little and generally felt I had no confidence in the reel at all.
Yes it did pull in some 55cm salmon, but I was worried it would fall apart ..
My only other option was to spend $300 at the local tackle shop to get a Shimano .. but the way I was treating my rod/reel combo on the rocks, in fading light.. Not worth it..
I would not recommend the Okuma..

My two bobs worth you can't go past the Penn slammers for build quality, not much plastic in it and nearly all metal, and priced superbly.
