Indestructible snapper rod?

Snapped one of my el cheapo snapper rods yesterday on a huge eagle ray that went under the yak, just wondering if anyone could recommend a replacement that would be up to that kind of challenge.

Corrosion resistant guides would be a plus. Glass would be preferred as I like to cut a big chunk of the butt off so it fits better in the rod holders and I reckon glass would handle that better than graphite. The snapped rod was 5-10kg which seemed to do the trick but I'm not too fussy about that, just needs to have enough grunt for the usual WPB bycatch.

I've heard ugly stick rods are pretty tough but never used one before, and other than that I have no idea which are any good.

Their cod rod's (boat) but i'm yet to kill an ugly stik or a silstar powertip.They seem quite happy to bounce around in the back of the ute or boat.

I was looking in BCF today and the silstar crystal power tip was about $50, cant find them on the website but they were 6ft and 6 to 10kg. Medium action 1 piece.

I'm looking for similar.

I've used both, preferred the silstar though. Ugly stick was a bit chunky for my taste.

Thats definitely not unbreakable! not gonna buy any more shimano carbon rods. Come to that Daiwa have a poor track record with me.

Mine has literally tens of thousands of casts...has tumbled down a cliff with me attached to it on the george bass walk and been swimming off cape schanck (also with me attached to it). Probably landed 500 salmon and god knows what else. Never skipped a beat.
