Where to get Reel Serviced

Hi guys, just wondering where I can get my reels serviced without paying a bomb.

Have about 8 reels which i would like to get serviced in S.E Melbourne

What reels do you have? It might be safer and cheaper to service your own reels. There are tons of videos on youtube that you can watch.

I send my more expensive reels to Dandenong CA, they can service the reels in house, however they'd rather send it off to the manufacturer in case parts might need replacing, bearings are the most commonly replaced part and only cost a few bucks.

the reel dr names geoff
is in ferntree gully i think he is now
he use to work at hook up bait and tackle befor it changed owners a few years back

Check out some of the reel service threads that have been posted on this forum by Booya .. he is in Chadskne area

His number is 0430 355 225 (pretty sure he won't mind me posting his contact - will gladly edit if otherwise)

Just do it yourself unless they're really expensive. If you **** it up just take it in for a service and they'll sort it out.

I service my own reels, but if you not able to DIY, most tackle stores can help you or put you onto someone :cheers:

+1 for Geoff Simmons the Reel Doctor, I have had him service a couple of reels and very happy. He is in Ferntree Gully & worth a call.
