What sort of reel do you have? If its a minor clean/re grease, I'd recommend diy. There are plenty of videos online that you can check out. If its due for replacement bearings or parts, send it to any retailer who sells Shimano and they send it to HQ in NSW. I send mine through CA.

Slightly related, a couple of my reels had a dunking today (stupid PVC rod holders). I've unscrewed the drag and removed the spool on each to clean all the sand out from underneath.

Should I open them right up, de-grease and reapply the reel lube as well?

Depending on the reel, that might not be a bad idea. Why i say depending on the reel, is how well its sealed. If i were you, i'd open up the drag washers to dry them and regrease it. Remove tour reverse clutch and check the pinion or worm to see if there's water droplets.

They're Penn Slammers which are supposed to be pretty rugged. I've just opened them up and one of them has sand inside Bangg
Should I blast it out with Inox and regrease everything?

Just realised the bearing cover opposite the handle is missing on one of them too, I wonder how long that has been gone?
